Its developed specially compounded graphene PET chips have achieved large-scale production, providing new material solutions for various industries.

Using graphene as a nanomaterial to simultaneously achieve both reinforcement and toughening in plastic modification is considered a challenge within the industry. Yide New Materials has successfully overcome the technical bottleneck of traditional twin-screw melt blending methods, which struggle to disperse nanomaterials, by employing an in-situ polymerization dispersion process. This technology enables the uniform dispersion of high-purity graphene within the PET matrix. Consequently, the prepared graphene-modified fibers not only maintain their fundamental mechanical properties but also acquire durable antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties, antistatic functionality, and far-infrared heating capabilities.

Yide New Materials has established a production line with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons for specially compounded graphene PET, making it one of the early domestic enterprises to achieve the industrialization of graphene-modified polyester filaments. Its produced graphene antibacterial polyester is made by polymerizing approximately 0.5% high-purity graphene with PET monomers. This product is suitable for applications in textiles, apparel, home furnishings, and automotive interiors.

A technical representative from Yide New Materials stated that this graphene-modified plastic technology provides a new pathway for the high-performance and functional development of the plastics industry. Its products can be widely used in fields such as electronic appliances, automotive, and medical devices, where high material performance requirements are essential.
